Software Monitoring Logic X

Receiving too many meaningless LogicMonitor alert notifications can ultimately lead to people ignoring important alerts. On the other hand, not receiving a key alert could result in service downtime or even an outage. The key to avoiding both of these undesirable situations is to tune datapoint thresholds for your unique environment. LogicMonitor does much of Continued. It wasn't to do with input monitor or software monitoring or R button r any of the settings in prefs. Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B3116) Logic Pro X 10.1.1. When recoding anything into Logic Pro X through my mic, the monitoring volume is very low while recording. Also, I cannot adjust the volume of the track being recorded while it is being recorded with my fader. The only thing that affects volume is turning up the interface (apollo twin) which isn't an option.

Ridiculously powerful. Seriously creative.

The Patch Library also gives you access to all your Patches from Logic Pro X. And if you ever need to perform with a different Mac, you don't have to rebuild everything. Just save your live set as a project and MainStage puts all the necessary files into a single folder you can take with you anywhere. A bus is used to route audio to auxiliary tracks. To open the mixer and view the auxiliary track, press X. Click the Send slot again, and choose Pre Fader. Setting the send to pre-fader allows you to adjust the volume of the track in the monitor mix using the track fader without changing the volume of the signal sent to the auxiliary track.

Live LoopsFor spontaneous composition.

Live Loops is a dynamic way to create and arrange music in real time. Kick off your composition by adding loops, samples, or your recorded performances into a grid of cells. Trigger different cells to play with your ideas without worrying about a timeline or arrangement. Once you find combinations that work well together you can create song sections, then move everything into the Tracks area to continue production and finish your song.

Sampler

We redesigned and improved our most popular plug-in — the EXS24 Sampler — and renamed it Sampler. The new single-window design makes it easier to create and edit sampler instruments while remaining backward compatible with all EXS24 files. An expanded synthesis section with sound-shaping controls brings more depth and dynamics to your instruments. The reimagined mapping editor adds powerful, time-saving features that speed the creation of complex instruments. Use the zone waveform editor to make precise edits to sample start/end, loop ranges, and crossfades. And save hours of tedious editing with new drag-and-drop hot zones.

Quick Sampler

Computer Monitoring Software

Quick Sampler is a fast and easy way to work with a single sample. Drag and drop an audio file from the Finder, Voice Memos, or anywhere within Logic Pro X. Or record audio directly into Quick Sampler using a turntable, microphone, musical instrument, or even channel strips playing in Logic Pro X. In a few steps, you can transform an individual sample into a fully playable instrument. And with Slice Mode, you can split a single sample into multiple slices — perfect for chopping up vocals or breaking up and resequencing drum loops.

Software Monitoring Logic X

Five amazing apps. One powerful collection.

Free Computer Monitoring Software

Logic Pro Preferences > Audio > Devices > Core Audio

Software Monitoring lets you listen to record-enabled channel strips, including the insert effects. The insert effects aren't recorded, they are only monitored.

Software monitoring is useful when your hardware doesn't have monitoring capabilities or when you want to listen to a channel with effects, like during a vocal session where the vocalist wants to hear some reverb but you don't necessarily want to commit to recording the effect on the track.

The potential downside to Software Monitoring can be increased latency due to effects processing.

You can turn on Software Monitoring from the Logic Pro Audio Preferences.

  • Go to Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio > Devices > Core Audio

Auto Input Monitoring

If you want to listen to the input only during recording, not during playback, turn Auto Input Monitoring on. If Auto Input Monitoring is turned off, you will only hear the input and not the recorded playback.

Having Auto Input Monitoring on is useful when Punch Recording.

To turn Auto Input Monitoring on or off:

  • Go to Options > Audio > Auto Input Monitoring
  • Control click the Record button on the Transport bar and choose Auto Input Monitoring
  • Auto Input Monitoring Audio Options

  • Transport Bar Record Auto Input Monitoring

Input Monitoring Buttons

Input Monitoring Button

If you want to listen to the input of tracks that are not record-enabled, press the track's Input Monitoring Button.
